Fairy tale of a day
Fairy Tale Day was again a highlight for Year 2s where children came to school dressed as their favourite fairy tale character.
Students, during their English lesson, wrote a detailed description of their character and presented it to the class.
The day was made extra special by having a puppeteer visit the school, giving the children a chance to have a look at the puppets and to learn all about them! Puppets bring fairy tales to life and the children could see how much work goes into actually handling puppets.
During English, the children wrote a detailed description of their character and presented it to the class. It was wonderful to hear about all the characters, including the modern fairy tale ones. The day didn’t end there, we had a delicious lunch to celebrate Fairy Tale Day. All the parents brought in food for the children to share, this was much appreciated and it topped off our day. As we have been learning about fairy tales, the children were really excited to see everyone dressed up – the same goes for the teachers as well!
